Intended use
ROCKERON™ Axis is a modular rocker plate feet system for indoor smart trainers. It enables controlled side-to-side movement to improve comfort and ride feel during indoor training.
Before installation
Before installing ROCKERON, make sure the smart trainer is not mounted with a bicycle or any other training equipment. Handle the smart trainer with care. Place it on a carpet or a similar soft surface. Tilting the trainer onto its side during installation may be helpful.
General installation steps
Remove the original rubber feet
Completely remove the original rubber feet from the smart trainer. Some smart trainers use screws on the underside of the rubber feet. If so, unscrew the original screws from below and keep them for installation.
Install the Axis elements
Slide the ROCKERON Axis elements onto the two trainer axles. Make sure each element is positioned correctly.
Install the metal rod if included
Some ROCKERON Axis models include a metal rod. Insert the metal rod through the designated holes and secure it with washers and nuts.
Insert the Motion Balls
Insert the Motion Balls into all ball housings of the Axis elements according to your selected setup.
Install the front support
Use the matching front riser or Zwift Ride front adapter for your setup. Make sure the front support sits securely on a flat surface.
Check stability
Ensure that all adapters are properly seated and that the trainer stands securely on the floor before getting on the bike.
Start with an easy first ride
Ride gently for the first minutes and check that the movement feels controlled. Avoid hard sprints or abrupt movements during the first ride.
Motion Balls and ride feel
ROCKERON supports different Motion Ball setups to tune the ride feel. Start with the recommended setup before testing different configurations.
- Yellow balls: more stable feel
- Mixed setups: more adjustable feel
- Additional ball sets: more tuning range
How to switch ball configuration
Switching Motion Balls changes how the setup reacts under load. For your first rides, use the recommended starting setup. Later, use the Pain Cave setup guide to test different configurations.
Safety and first-ride tips
- Ensure that all components are properly installed before starting your training.
- Use ROCKERON only on a flat, non-slip surface.
- Regularly check the adapters for a secure fit.
