ROCKERON Installation Guide – Wahoo KICKR CORE (v1) & Van Rysel D100 / D500

ROCKERON · Detailed installation guide

Wahoo KICKR CORE (v1) & Van Rysel D100 / D500

Install ROCKERON in eight clear steps. The photos show the installation on a Wahoo KICKR CORE (v1); the process is the same for the Van Rysel D100 and D500.

Preparation: Have all ROCKERON parts, both threaded rods, nuts, washers and balls ready. Select any photo to open it at full size.

1

Prepare the smart trainer

Place the smart trainer on a clean, level surface. We recommend putting a blanket or mat underneath to protect both the floor and the trainer. Then remove all four original rubber end caps.

2

Install the ROCKERON front adapters

Slide the ROCKERON front adapters onto the smart trainer. F stands for Front, FL for Front Left and FR for Front Right.

  1. Slide on the front-left center section (FL).
  2. Refit the original rubber end cap.
  3. Slide on the front-left end section (FL).
  4. Repeat the same sequence on the front-right side (FR).
3

Prepare the front threaded rod

Set out the longer threaded rod for the front axle. Leave the blue-marked nut fitted. At the green-marked end, remove the other nut together with the washer and place both within easy reach.

4

Insert the front threaded rod

Preferably insert the threaded rod from the front-left side and push it through as far as it will go. The green-marked end must emerge on the front-right side.

5

Secure the front axle by hand

Fit the washer first, then thread on the nut. Hold the nut on the front-left side and tighten both nuts against each other with one hand on each side until the entire assembly is secure and hand-tight.

Important: Do not use a torque wrench or power driver.
6

Install the rear axle

Repeat the same process for the rear axle: slide on the adapter sections, guide the rear threaded rod through, refit the washer and nut, and tighten both sides against each other by hand only.

7

Insert and configure the balls

First position two orange balls at each end and press them into the outer mounting points. These orange balls remain permanently in the outer positions and do not need to be swapped later. Then insert the remaining balls according to your preferred configuration.

8

Complete the installation and inspect

The system is now fully installed. Before every ride, check all nuts and make sure they are still hand-tight. Also inspect the seating of every ball and the complete system.
