CLIMB · Agile

Agile is recommended because the route alternates quick rollers, a long moderate climb and a short, very steep finish to the Radio Tower. This is not a separately tested or validated Muir and the Mountain setup.

From the sequoias to Watopia’s highest road.

The loop combines rolling forest roads with one long climb and a very steep extension.

The route story

The lead-in climbs through Titans Grove. The route then crosses Epic KOM, continues to the Radio Tower, descends and returns through the forest to the same reverse KOM line.

Why Agile

The contrast between rollers, sustained climbing and a steep standing effort suits Agile’s freer centre and increasingly firm outer return.

Key load changes

Titans Grove creates repeated short changes, Epic KOM supplies the main endurance block, and the 12.8% Radio Tower extension delivers the sharpest torque shift.

Route and setup questions

Why is Agile recommended for this route?

The mix of Titans Grove rollers, Epic KOM and the steep Radio Tower road repeatedly changes load and riding position, which suits the Agile starting character.

Was this route separately tested with Agile?

No. The recommendation is derived from the published route profile and the existing Agile Ride Feel; it is not route-specific testing or validation.

Why are the total figures higher than the route figures?

The 4.7 km lead-in adds 122 m of elevation, bringing the complete first ride to 38.8 km and 914 m.
