CLIMB · Agile

Agile is the recommended starting point because the route moves from rolling terrain into a sustained climb and invites repeated seated-to-standing changes. This is a route-context recommendation, not a separately tested or validated Tour of Fire and Ice setup.

The route story

The route begins at the Volcano banner, crosses toward the Italian Villas and Ocean Boulevard, then turns through the Jungle before finishing above the treeline on Alpe du Zwift.

Why Agile

The changing approach, long final gradient and frequent shifts between seated and standing effort suit Agile’s freer centre and firmer outer return.

Key load changes

Rolling roads create the opening transitions, the dirt Jungle approach changes cadence, and the 12.2 km Alpe KOM delivers the defining continuous load.

Route and setup questions

Why is Agile recommended for Tour of Fire and Ice?

The route combines a changing approach with a sustained final climb. Agile is a logical starting point for those changes in load and riding position.

Was this route-specific setup separately tested?

No. The recommendation applies the existing Agile Ride Feel to published route characteristics; it is not a separate physical test or route validation.

Does the same exact layout fit every smart trainer?

No. Rear hardware and Motion Ball positions are trainer-specific, and the front layout depends on the bicycle setup. Use the selector for the exact supported configuration.
